I need to get to bed early tonite. The contractor is coming tomorrow with a work crew at 8 a.m. Now I start grading the company that I hired. I'm not sure exactly what is going to get done first, but I am assuming the attic needs to be dormed out first. I have never ever hired a contractor before for anything, so this should be very interesting.
The weather in Chicago hasn't been too cold. The temperatures are in the 40's.

I haven't heard word one from my contractor since Tuesday. He said he was going to get back to me on Wednesday, but he didn't. I came down with a cold, so I'm kind of glad that I got to rest up a bit before he finally gets over here and starts the work.
I do get aggravated when people say they are going to do something and they don't, but he's running the show and I'm not the nagging type.
Kathy looked over the architect's plans the other day, and raised some concerns.
It's a mess. The wiring in my house. So much so, that we need to have it all redone. I have to bring my electrical boxes, and electric meters brought up to code. I have owned my house for a long time, and when they were originally done, I guess they were O.K. Of course, things change, and when you are having work done, you have to play by the rules or get out of the game.
I had hoped that all of this work would be long done by now. I was planning a July trip to Disneyland.
I hired a contractor back on July 29, 2009 to remodel my attic so that the mother of my grandson could have a cheaper place to live. I figure the fringe benefits to me, would include getting to see my grandson, Sean more often.
