  2. Disneyland Spring Break Crowds, Knott's Event, and Tons of News - In The Parks

    Another week has flown by and it has been filled with Disney and theme park news and growing Spring Break crowds. Before we get started, we would like to acknowledge a Disney legend who sadly passed away on Thursday, Fess Parker, Davy Crockett the King of the Wild Frontier. His heart and soul lives on and we will forever think of him every time we walk through Disneyland's Frontierland. God speed Fess. Al Lutz has posted a lovely tribute to Fess.

    What a lucky Summer we've had so far in Southern California. The weather has been lovely and mild, the parks all seem to be on a general campaign of cleanliness, and new attractions are packing in the crowds at many local attractions.     Well, another Monday morning, and another week of letting you know what is going on in Southern California and how it relates to the Amusement/Theme Park and related businesses.

    First off, a big thanks to "Robs Mustang" who lives in British Columbia, Canada and has provided me multiple photos of the old Disneyland Mark V Monorails being dismantled at a factory in Port Coquitlam, BC.
