MiceChatters had such a fabulous time last October on the Disney Dream, that we immediately started planning the next trip. You can read about the fun adventures we had in these trip reports.

So, where are the MiceChatters going next? Well, we were looking for something we hadn't done before, and for something affordable. On our last magical evening together, MiceChatter Capt. Phoebus began studying the Disney Cruise itineraries when he noticed the Disney Wonder repositioning cruise from Vancouver, British Columbia to Los Angeles in September 2012. It sounded like the perfect trip and the 2nd Annual MiceChat Cruise was born!
We will be cruising from Vancouver, BC to Los Angeles, California September 10th through 16th with a side excursion to the Walt Disney Family Museum in San Francisco. We'd like to invite you to join us for the second annual MiceChat Cruise: Wonder-ing the Pacific Coast!
Itinerary map
Start your journey in the sophisticated metropolitan center of Vancouver. Dive into the local culture and history and be awed by the inspiring mountain and water views within this city. Known for its picturesque Victorian architecture, steep hills and colorful history, the next stop, San Francisco, is home to iconic images, such as Alcatraz Island, the Golden Gate Bridge and cable cars . . . but the MiceChatters are probably most interested in the Walt Disney Family Museum. Los Angeles marks the end of the 6 day journey.
Shopping
While north in Vancouver, visit Granville Island, a 35-acre peninsula brimming with shops, eateries, theatres and art galleries --an art lover and treasure hunter's paradise. While in San Francisco, explore Union Square, one of the country's if not the world's premier shopping destinations. While south, in the oldest part of Los Angeles, spend time on Olvera Street, where you'll find a quaint, colorful Mexican marketplace.
Activities
There are amazing things to see and do at each port of call along the cruise. You can get a bird's-eye view 3,700 feet above Vancouver when you climb aboard North America's largest aerial tramway system, the Grouse Mountain Skyride. There's plenty to do in San Francisco. For example, take a scenic drive along the Embarcadero and arrive at the historic Presidio, home of the Walt Disney Family Museum. The Museum is dedicated to the life and accomplishments of Walt Disney, "father" of Mickey Mouse and founder of The Walt Disney Company. This cruise is a one way trip from Vancouver to LA, (only a one way ticket for you Southern California folks) stopping for two nights in San Francisco—can anyone say Walt Disney Family Museum? ( Fishbulb also says “night tour to Alcatraz!) You can also take excursions to
- Walt Disney Family Museum
- Alcatraz
- Wineries
- Forests
- Chinatown
To top it off we get three days at sea! Who wants to go to the spa? Or just lounge about the deck without a care? There may even be a Scavenger Hunt for the Micechatters! You can always end your cruise with a visit to Disneyland! The Wonder was built in true classic Disney style. She may be smaller than the newer Dream and Fantasy, but the Wonder has stage shows, nightlife, and fine dining in Palo just like the other ships. Remember, this is the ship that started it all!
