WELCOME TO DISNEYLAND!
Sleeping Beauty Castle sports new banners that match the Castle bridge banners. The design is reflective of the Year of a Million Dreams campaign.
Personally, I think they look too contemporary for this medieval fairy tale castle with the Photoshop DreamClouds and DreamSparkles. I can't wait for the Dreams campaign to draw to a close so we can just be rid of all the DreamClouds already!
PROJECT ROUND-UP
A quick look at some of the minor refurbishment projects going on around the parks.
Club 33 is getting some TLC
Work on "it's a small world" continues.
Last week we showed you how the interactive Stitch Phone was removed from Innoventions. In David "Darkbeer" Michael's 4/28 Monday in the Parks column he mentioned the new Air Scooter II, which is on display in the area. It is a static display, roped off from guest access.
Over at Disney's California Adventure, the railings in front of the Sunshine Plaza fountain are being replaced.
Over at Paradise Pier, Donald Duck is now featured atop the outdoor vending structures, next to the new turkey leg stand.
Closer to the Sun Wheel, another outdoor vending structure is progressing nicely, new glass partitions are up.
Nice detail
The Grizzly River Run water wheel work continues...
MERCH AND COLLECTIBLES
Appropriate for the election year, these shirts have been available for a couple months now.
Americana Mickey pencils
...And keychains
A new Firefighter Mickey big fig has been released. $175.
And a second wave of Robert Olszewski's Pokit Pals have been released. They range between $18-22 each.
For more information and more photos of the Pokit Pals, visit DisneyGallery.com - PokitPals by Olszewski
The Haunted Mansion one is particularly cool -- it slides open, revealing the entire stretching portrait!
And finally, a new Thomas Kinkade piece of Walt Disney World's Cinderella Castle is now available.
Alright, that should do it for this week. Thanks, as always for reading!
See you again next week!
