Disneyland's Halloween Time continued over the weekend as October officially got underway. The seasonal offerings include special character meet-and-greets throughout the park and unique holiday menu items at select park restaurants. Halloween Time is in full swing at the Disneyland Resort with the return of the popular Haunted Mansion Holiday and Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy attractions. Yet, the big news this week wasn't the return of the annual holiday offerings, but the updated Walt Disney Imagineering Blue Sky Cellar in Disney California Adventure. The preview center's new exhibit focuses on the park's new Buena Vista Street main entrance plaza, which will take guests back to an idealized version of 1920s Los Angeles.

Refurbishments and minor construction projects continue to pop up and make progress around Disneyland as the park gets ready for the start of the Halloween Time season Friday. The park-wide work and changes include the addition of safety-minded handrails throughout the Golden Horseshoe, to the detriment of the saloon's show quality. Over in New Orleans Square, work continues on installing the Haunted Mansion Holiday seasonal overlay as Pirates of the Caribbean closes for a two-month refurbishment.

Guests passing through the front half of Disney California Adventure park may feel like they're walking through an endless maze of construction walls with new detours in place to accommodate the major Buena Vista Street construction that will continue into next summer. The minor inconvenience is only a small price to pay for the high-quality experiences Disney has planned and the park's temporary entrance corridor is actually quite a bit more pleasant to pass through than the former Sunshine Plaza
