Disneyland's big 55th anniversary is now less than a week away and while there is no 50th anniversary-sized events planned, the park has a few small offerings and events lined up this week to mark the occasion. Meanwhile, construction continues on California Adventure's upcoming attractions as World of Color shakes off a brief scare after last week's 5.4 magnitude earthquake that may have played a role in shutting down the show on Wednesday night.

Disneyland celebrated the Fourth of July in style this weekend with patriotic bunting and banners down Main Street after getting rid of the tired "Celebrate Today!" decorations and California Adventure continues to pack them in with its new World of Color show. Meanwhile, construction continues on DCA's upcoming Little Mermaid and Cars Land attractions, amongst other additions.

Summer trudges along as World of Color continues to take over the Resort. With Disney's Give A Day, Get A Disney Day portion of the Celebrate Today! promotion over, all of the Mickey balloon-themed decorations are finally leaving the Resort. The big debut of 'World of Color' has come and gone and the Disneyland Resort is now in full summer mode. Disneyland has everything open and ready for the summer crowds, and construction continues in California Adventure as the park sees some of its biggest crowds ever thanks to its fancy new water and light show.
