Welcome to the final edition of Dateline Disneyland for 2010! We hope you had a fantastic Christmas holiday and are ready to ring in the new year! But before we can welcome 2011, it's time to take a look back at a selection of the major happenings around the Disneyland Resort over the past year. From a major Rivers of America overhaul to Disneyland's 55th anniversary, Disneyland has seen a lot of activity this year. Yet, with loads of construction, the new World of Color water-and-light show, ...

The show's giant dragon audio-animatronic collapsed mid-show on Saturday night, prompting the cancellation of the show's second performance and a flurry of Disney fan chatter on Twitter and the MiceChat discussion boards. Yet, as a major Disneyland show screeched to a halt this weekend, construction around the Resort continued in full force on numerous projects including California Adventure's ...

The opening of the new path also marked the completion of the new section of Red Car ...

Disneyland's Alice in Wonderland is open once again after temporary measures were put in place to keep guests and maintenance workers from falling off the elevated outdoor portion of the ride track. If one thing is good about Alice's horribly tacky safety additions is that they're temporary until a permanent solution can be installed. Meanwhile, construction walls are up around Star Tours in Tomorrowland as work starts to gear up on the ride's major overhaul. Over in Disney California Adventure ...
  5. A nod to the past, Color Roadshow, Mermaid in Paradise, Building Cars Land, +more!

Disneyland celebrated the Fourth of July in style this weekend with patriotic bunting and banners down Main Street after getting rid of the tired "Celebrate Today!" decorations and California Adventure continues to pack them in with its new World of Color show. Meanwhile, construction continues on DCA's upcoming Little Mermaid and Cars Land attractions, amongst other additions.
