Spent most of the day at Universal Studios Hollywood on Monday, which was fully open and had no effect due to the Major Fire that happened on the Backlot area on Sunday.
First, some news...
Fire officials have identified the cause of the fire, which was a total accident (unlike the Backlot fire in 1990, which was arson). http://www.latimes.com/features/heal...,6479128.story

Well, my weekend schedule had me visiting Universal Studios Hollywood on Saturday, Six Flags Magic Morning on Sunday, and once again, USH on Monday. So it was somewhat of a surreal moment when I turned on the Morning TV news Sunday and seeing helicopter images of the park on fire.
We have a lot to get to today, but expect more columns later in the week, as we try and cover the Universal Studios story, and everything else that has happened over the last few days. Universal

Today is Memorial Day, so before we get to the news, don't forget that most of you have the day off to remember the members of the United States Military that gave their lives to protect and honor their country.
Memorial Day started 140 years ago, in 1868, originally called Decoration Day, to honor the soldiers who were killed in the Civil War. It is a day to give thanks to those who serve in the Military, and the families that support them.
So we pay tribute to them
