I hit black ice today

So I was supposed to pick up my parents from the airport today. I shoveled my driveway, salted it, whole nine yards. My plan was I was going to loop around the block and then take the main highway out (not the short cut through 3 streets and then hit the main highway. The short cut gets icy.) I was going to loop around my block because I couldn't figure out how to get my car out of the driveway and then turn it 180. I saw ice I was good. Then there was a little hilly area and it was shaded and I hit a chunk of black ice. I have mud tires, I had it in all wheel drive, and my back skidded. I luckily hit a snow berm on the hill part (so no drop!). I froze. I didn't know which way to go what to do. I just... and I know that's bad to do but... I've never felt that before! So I parked my car had a melt down in a neighbor's driveway. Drove super slow to my neighbors'/friends house and we decided to get a shuttle to pick my parents up. Then there was drama getting the message to my folks, but now they're on the shuttle home. It's like 29 degrees here. I am freaked. My car is at my neighbors house (which is about a half mile from my house) and we were walking to my house and she was pointing out "there's black ice.... there's black ice...." it's everywhere and near her house (which is why I stopped and said "no airport!") it was solid ice and it curved to a downward hill/ditch. I am totally shaken though. I hate this! My fingers are still cold from digging my car out! And that was at 9:15-10am ish.
