Big-ish purchase tomorrow!

Okay for me anything over $75 on one thing is a big purchase. I am a cheap-skate, what can I say? But with National Novel Writing Month coming up (eek!) and my sticky keyboard Alphasmart Pro that probably dates back from the 1990s, early 1990s too I am not talking about 1995 and up (because then I'd be dating myself), probably won't help me write my novel this year. The keys stick, it's slow, and oh yeah the cords no longer really work with the technology I have.

Now we have one computer at home and sometimes someone hogs the computer. When I am writing between 1,666-2k words a day... I am going to need the computer and not have to fight or sit irked. So I am buying the Alphasmart Neo ( ).
It's a little pricey, but it's a laptop word processor without all the bells and whistles of a laptop, thus I can't procrastinate when I need to novel.

I am a little too excited. But this year I am writing something I feel needs to be done. I am scared too though... I don't want to mess up the novel. Ack. 15 days! 16 I am sorry...

I have a few friends who do NaNoWiMo every year and love it - even though it's really challenging. Good luck to you!

Shoot, now I want to do it just because it's called NaNoWiMo, and I don't even know what it is!

I love it! It's like... I get a kick from writing so quick along with at the end printing it out and thinking "oh crap I did that!" Everyone should do it once just to do it. Plus this year my novel is going to be very close to home, a multi-generational story about 3 women who have body issues.

    It's 50k in 30 days.
