Big and scary bridge...

I'm afraid of heights. Okay not so much heights but falling and falling and heights go hand and hand. I think it's one of those control issues. I have nightmares where I'm on an endless slick wood floor and can't stop sliding and I'm struggling to stop, literally kicking my legs out, really using my legs not in dream world, to stop myself and I can't. So it has to be a control thing about heights and falling. I force myself to go on rides that are really high that I fall straight down on but even if I'm at a hospital (the VA in Loma Linda for example) I can't stand too close to the big windows on the upper floors without getting scared. And now living in places where big high scary bridges are the norm... It's a California thing where I'm afraid something will happen and I'll start to fall. I have to drive over a big bridge tomorrow and positively freaked.

Good luck! I'm very freaked out of heights also if I'm not securely attached to something. So no ladders for me.

So I drove across and it was scary. But it's weird because from where I saw it the day before it looked HUGE! It looked really long. So I was driving on it (psyched myself into it) and realized it's divided into two and the way it's set up you can't look down and see water or how high you are while driving. So I just looked ahead, took a deep breath, and drove. Apparently you can walk across it too... yeah no. But I found out I maybe going to a different college and there's a bus route there.
