I got the best compliment today and it just made my week. A lady I know said at a potluck lunch said:
You're just delightful and refreshing.
It was simple but after job rejection and just not feeling yummy it was good to hear that I'm not nuts.
I couldn't think of a witty title to this blog. It's still weird in my brain right now. My dad just called (folks are on vacation-ish...) and said he officially took the job in Washington. It's so weird because I was born in California, grew up in Southern California. I'm what you call a Southern California girl, sans the blonde hair and perfect bikini body (although personally I think I look cute in my tankini or my vintage looking suit). I can trace my childhood and even my adulthood on the freeways,
Basically that's the theme right now. Going as far up as feasible and still be counted in the contintenial (sp?) US. Things, will be scary, and new but... basically: job is his, my parents need to talk still.
I've kinda' been apathetic to Pearl leaving because although I love this dog dearly, I'm sorry but 2 labs in one house is hard. She goes back on November 7th, almost 2 months to the day. It's 6 months with the school for "hard core" training and then another month or so with her partner. At graduation they do a really sappy thing where they play a power point with the dog growing up and sappy songs. Seriously not a dry eye in the house, I think if you don't cry they revoke your license
Something random throws your life into a tailspin... It will be good.
North Western/Pacific Northwesteners know any adult schools or community colleges near the Washington Islands?
