So yay! I'm officially a CNA in Washington (finally!) and I'm right now in the training process. That's an interesting little beast. I'm working all three shifts over the course of like 2 weeks or 10 days (if you include my two days off). Last week I had Wednesday-Friday as days (with overtime for PT training), Saturday off, Sunday I worked evenings (which I like), Monday off (but I had to go to work to get another TB test), today and tomorrow evenings, and then end the week with nights. My body ...
Just putting it out there: Talking in front of large groups of people petrifies me. When I get nervous (as some MCers have noticed at meets) I get babbly/rambling, sweaty, and/or I drop bad words around. And I've been practicing what I'm going to say at Pearl's graduation since she went back in October, when I was petrified at the thought of 100 people watching me (most whom I know and friends with) being the crying mess. I found out there will be 700+ people, press, and celebrities ...
So one theme in this blog is Pearl and everything I dealt while puppyraising her. Pearl was/is a big thing in my life at the time and even now, thus I posted a lot about her. She met her handler/blind person on Wednesday. Her handler cried when meeting her. Based on pictures and what I've heard they seem to be a good/great ...
That's kinda' what I'm feeling right now when it comes to school. Washington's nursing requirements are completely different from Californias. I've posted that a few times. So I was okay with taking a ton of classes and following their protocol of how things run. Just read in the paper this morning that Skagit Valley College is now changing their requirements so that I have to have a B in all the really hard classes (chemistry for example) they are making me take. I am lucky to pass. ...
I will not sit in my car between classes when the beach is across the street from my school and has an amazing trail. I will actively walk and use the time wisely. I won't go to McDonald's between classes and thinking "The 2 for $3 Big Macs is such a good deal!" I will bring my lunch (even though it's not peanut butter based.). I got on the scale 2 days ago and was shocked! I was 4lbs from my heaviest and when I was my heaviest ...
