  1. 15 years of journaling

    by , 10-10-2008 at 08:04 PM
I just realized that next week marks my 15th anniversary of keeping a journal. I totally remember why I started it too.

I was watching the Roseanne episode where it's her b-day and they give her the basement as an office. In that episode she talks about how she used to keep a journal when she was younger, but life got in the way and she stopped.

That's when I decided hey, I don't want my life experiences to just vanish into the ether of my mind. Ever since then (although ...
  2. September - Earth, Wind and Fire

[COLOR=#474747][FONT=Times New Roman]Do you remember, the 21st night of September?
Love was changing the minds of pretenders
    While chasing the clouds away

    Our hearts were ringing
In the key that our souls were singing.
As we danced in the night,
Remember, how the stars stole the night away

Ba de ya - say do you remember
Ba de ya - dancing in September
Ba de ya - never was a cloudy day

    My thoughts are with you

My allergies have been jacked up the past few days. Really REALLY bad. I love autumn and all, but this is the one thing that kills me every year. And this year it has started WAY early :(

Hopefully this isn't the start of a really long, itchy, drippy, watery season.

I really hate that, at least on my phone, you have to hold the button to turn the thing off. Why can't they make it so that when you push the off button, it turns off?

I understand the logic behind it, you wouldn't want to inadvertantly shut it off mid conversation. But how many people's big heads actually push the buttons on their cell phones as they talk? I never have!

Make the off button work quicker cell phone makers!
  5. 16 years ago today

I can not believe that 16 years ago today, my dad died.

I'm not sad anymore, I'm over that. But these days just get me to thinking about him.

The good things about him. The bad things about him. His laugh. How his sweaters smelled. The "smile" tan lines he'd get on his belly because of the way he'd sit outside tanning (which I actually inherited if I sit the same way in the sun  ).

I think about all the good he did for the community. All ...
