  2. Shabby Date Night is the BEST

    Last night my pal Lisa and I had one of our patented Shabby Date Nights. I :love: them.

    Here's what we do:

    We meet up at a restaurant at a mall (last night it was CPK)

    We share dinner, usually appetizers. Last night it was spinach artichoke dip, a garlic chicken pizza and chocolate souffle.

    A bottle of wine is ordered. I brought one last night from home because CPK only has a $5 corkage fee. FIVE DOLLARS!!

  3. 23,704!

    So Friday I jokingly told my co-workers I was going to try to get to 22k and then somehow 24k came up in my novel. I was going to write about 10,000 words over the course of the weekend. Checked my word count 5 minutes ago 23,704! Meaning I am ahead! I am supposed to be at 25k by Thursday. I am totally going to hit that tonight! Yay!

    For people wondering what the heck I am talking about, I am participatipate every year in National Novel Writing Month or nanowrimo.org my name over there ...

  4. Productive nice weekend

    This was basically Brian and my first weekend together since he moved in, where neither of us had plans, other than to hang out at home and be domestic together.

    New door painted. Some yard stuff done. Did some house cleaning. Did a buttload of Christmas cards. Got new glasses. Bought a couple of replacement watches from the robbery (and I must say it is OH SO FUN to just walk into a store and pick out watches willy nilly like that :D ).

  5. Writing... wordcount over ideas?

    Okay so I am participating in National Novel Writing Month right now (see my sig line) and I am having a very funny moment.

    I am writing a scene where my main character just kinda' got forced to say "I have a breast cancer evil scare." to students in her class (long story there) and her guy friend in the class proposes before she gets the biopsy that she enjoys her boobs for one night, and in essence (okay more than essence) he basically is like "dude I want to touch ...
