The Most Wonderful Time of the Year

It's like Christmas Eve!

Only it's the day before school starts instead, so that means no presents in the morning. Unless you count the 33 students I get tomorrow at 8 am, but I'd like to meet them before I decide if they are gifts or not.

33 third graders. Thirty. Three.

That's just not right. But that's a blog for another day.

Well, I did all I could to get ready, and whether I am or not (I am), they're coming anyway! I already know that I have one challenge student. One that has meltdowns due to his disability and can apparently scale fences in a single leap and run like the wind. I do love the quirky kids and they kind of gravitate towards me, which is always interesting, so hopefully this will be a good match for both of us.

I'd better get to bed early, because I know I'll be up at 0:dark thirty, all worried and nervous and excited!

You'll do really good! Plus as a former quirky kid: it's good to have a teacher that gets us!

You're already in the midst of class now and I'm sure it's going wonderfully. As the Mother of a quirky child and someone who knows you, it couldn't be a better spot for him. (mine has even scaled fences before and hit the ground running, leaving teachers like behind her)

I hope the day and year goes well, how exciting, your first class! And at such a fun age!

I think they will only be half evil considering that there a lot of 3's happening

    33 kids, 3rd grade, starting on the 3rd, in the 9th month (3 x 3).

Luckily its not 66 kids in the 6th grade, starting on the 6th day of the 6th month.

Yeah the above is really silly, but hopefully it made you smile.

    ^^^That did make me laugh!

I had 28 the first day and then 30 today. I hope that is all. We'll see if anyone else arrives on Monday.

And did I mention that I'm exhausted already?

Good luck with those 33 kids! Today, I'll be at Disneyland with my wife enjoying a short line for Toy Story Mania, then a night at Riviera Beach, San Clemente.
