Another beautiful week inspired our intrepid photographers to move around Southern California taking beautiful photos. Even our own nbodyhome who usually provides coverage from Orlando joined us on the West Coast to provide photos of a very special event plus some shots of the Disneyland Resort.

First up, Jack "Hollywood1939" Wixom takes us on a trip to the Getty Museum.

Getty Center
Los Angeles, California

The museum collects and exhibits classical sculpture and art, European paintings, drawings, manuscripts, sculpture, decorative arts, and photographs. The art collection is presented against a backdrop of dramatic architecture, tranquil gardens, and breathtaking views.

The Getty Center is located about 43 miles northwest of the Disneyland Resort at 1200 Getty Center Drive in Los Angeles. Admission is free and reservations are no longer required. Parking is $8.00. Vist the Getty Center website here for more information.

No touch!

Live entertainment is also offered.

Breathtaking art is everywhere.

Water features galore.

Weird video room.

Next up we have coverage of a very special event honoring Disney Legend Wally Boag.

Golden Horseshoe Revue Event
Anaheim Sheraton

On Saturday, March 29th, several hundred fans came together to honor Disney Legend and Golden Horseshoe Revue originator Wally Boag. He is also well known for providing the voice for Jose in "Walt Disney's Enchanted Tiki Room" and also wrote much of the script for the attraction, participating also in the development of "Haunted Mansion" in Disneyland. Over thirty MiceChatters were in attendance for this special evening.

Thanks to nbodyhome for these photos from the event.

nbodyhome sends us these fantastic shots of Disneyland and DCA after dark.

Can you see the Disneyland fireworks reflected in the window?

Another collection of art and water features is found at the Disneyland Hotel. Fishbulb takes us on a photo tour:

Kirk is the Elvis one, so that is written backwards. I have a total of about 200 Golden Horseshoe event photos here:

That was a great update! This whole time, I had no idea that Wally Boag was the voice of Jose. I also feel bad, because I didn't realise he was still alive. It's great that they paid tribute to him!
The pictures were beautiful! Is it possible to make any of them available for desktops?

I especially like the shot of the cameraman shooting the Undertaker's entrance. Very "meta"!
Summer InFl, did you get any pics of the equipment that fell on the crowd? I'd love to hear that story...

I'm amazed by Mr. Potato Head. I can't wait to see him myself! I love the shots of HM and the Boudin Bakery building. Although Hollywood 1939, I think your self portrait might inspire a future shot of my own.

Another terrific update as usual! The variety of photos from the various Disney locations is just spectacular. And I've wondered when we'd start to see the pics from nbodyhome's West Coast trip--besides the Golden Horseshoe event that is.

We can't speak for the photographers, but we're guessing that if you PM them with a specific request, they will likely accommodate you.

If you do a youtube search, there is video out there from someone who was under where the explosion came down. It's pretty gnarly. I would look it up, but I have to leave. I shouldn't even be on here still.

A very nice update this week. Love the photos. The HM photo is incredible; nice job on capturing it's eeriness!

I also really appreciate the other subjects you captured on this update. The Getty Museum is outstanding. Makes me want to go see it (something I never did when I lived in So Cal.)
