It was quite a week at the Disneyland Resort. Christmas suddenly arrived and filming locations were set up throughout the park for the Disney Christmas day parade on ABC. Lucky park guests were able to spot celebrities or even catch performances. New Orleans Square saw the addition of not only its Christmas decorations, but a new meet and greet and river show themed to the Princess and the Frog as well. California Adventure is also getting in the holiday spirit, but walls throughout Paradise Pier conceal much of the real magic which is being constructed just beyond our view. It is unbelievable to think that they've managed to add even more equipment to the World of Color platform in the bay, but that's exactly what they've done. Join us as we take a look at what's new and what's news at the Disneyland Resort in Anaheim, California.

Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort wrapped up last night; however, even as guests flooded into the park in record numbers to celebrate the spooky season, Christmas decorations were popping up in the stores and the castle itself was blanketed in fake snow. It was a collision of two holidays throughout the park, as if Haunted Mansion Holiday's story line had seeped out into the park itself. New Orleans Square and A Bug's Land are all decked out for the holidays and within the next couple of weeks, the parks will be completely transformed into a winter wonderland. Meanwhile, construction continues on the World of Color platform in Paradise Bay as the water level rises. Construction, merchandise, hotel, and operational updates in today's Dateline Disneyland as well as dozens of beautiful photos of the resort.

D23 Expo was a big hit, and for Disneyland fans, it held a wealth of information about the parks. Fans were able to interact one-on-one with Imagineers, artists, and legends. A highlight of the Expo was and an up close look at the massive new Cars Land coming to Disney's California Adventure and the spectacular models of the three new lands coming to Hong Kong Disneyland. There were also several movie and attraction announcements, such as Star Tours II, almost all of which MiceAge readers already knew. But it was still nice to hear the official announcement. Join us for lots of photos and news from the D23 Expo as well as a small Disneyland update.

Fantasmic! finally premiered its new dragon and although she didn't initially set the night "ablaze" as promised, she was fixed by her second performance and is currently delighting crowds. The dragon was nearly eclipsed by the news that Disney bought Marvel Comics, and everyone wants to know what this will mean for the Disney parks and for Universal's parks which already use Marvel characters in some of their locations. This week promises even more breaking news as D23 launches their very first fan Expo at the Anaheim Convention Center next to Disneyland. And as always, the Dateline Disneyland update is packed with news and photos from around the Disneyland resort. So get ready to see what's up with hotel and theme park construction, that new building going up in Fantasyland, the new restaurant in California Adventure, Halloween Time, and much, much more.

This morning's Fantasmic dragon press event was canceled at the last minute - perhaps because of the fires in LA and perhaps because of little interest from the media. However, video has leaked out online. We'll attempt to update you on what this means for tonight's performances of the show if possible. However, the dragon may be held until another press event can be scheduled. Also, we have lots of news, photos, and updates from the resort. Halloween is quickly being added to the stores and window displays. Grand Californian construction is nearly complete and we've got the photos. New construction in Fantasyland near Fantasia Gardens. And much, much more.
