Weekend Update – Shrek the Halls, Four Disneylands, and Vintage Postcards
It's a special Weekend Update today, we'll be visiting four Magic Kingdom parks all over the globe in just one afternoon? First up is "ICE! Shrek the Halls" exhibit at the Gaylord Palms Hotel in Orlando. Two million pounds of ice is used to create this offbeat diversion. Then we see some great photos from the Disney side of Orlando. Next up are some fantastic photos of the Christmas decorations at Tokyo Disneyland. That's followed by some vintage post cards from Ken Eslick at DisneylandPostcards.net. These cards feature the perennially popular Disney characters. As if that weren't enough, we explore Hong Kong Disneyland's brand new Toy Story Playland . Hong Kong Disneyland Expansion
Hong Kong Disneyland is set to expand with three new lands wrapped behind the far side of Adventureland. The new lands will include unique attractions with some familiar influences. Grizzly Trail will feature a Big Thunder Mountain style roller coaster in a Grizzly Mountain setting, Mystic Point will have a Haunted Mansion style ride with elements and theme similar to the Tower of Terror, and Toy Story Land will be filled with Pixar themed children's attractions. The expansion addresses the current lack of attractions at Hong Kong Disneyland and resulting poor attendance. Join us for full descriptions and detailed photos.
