Pumpkin time at Disneyland. Pumpkins all over Main Street from the entry gates to the light posts, its pumpkin city. In Frontierland, there are fresh carved pumpkins and pumpkin men. Haunted Mansion Holiday is back, and has transformed the Mansion inside and out with imagery inspired by the Nightmare Before Christmas.

The tribute to Dia De Los Muertos (the Mexican day of the dead) in Frontierland is also back this year. So is Candycorn Acres at Disney’s California Adventure. For the most part, this year’s celebration is a slightly stale version of last year’s. Not much new, but still fun and enjoyable.

But Halloween isn’t the only game in town. Construction is going fast and furious on the former Little Mermaid Meet and Greet grotto at Disney to convert it in to Pixie Hollow, a meet and greet for Tinkerbell and friends. While the lagoon and rocks remain, a round structure is being constructed in the spot that the kids will meet tink. Elsewhere in the park, pavement is being torn up and replaced. And the former McDonalds fry cart in Fantasyland has been completely removed and the area will soon return to its pre-grease glory

As always, Andy Castro of MiceChat’s Dateline Disneyland Blog provides us with tons of amazing shots, not just of the park and attractions, but also of new merchandise and food. Lots of yummy treads have made their way into the parks, including pumpkin fudge, pumpkin spiced latte, Mickey pumpkin head cookies, spiced carmel apple cider, and more.
