Re: 4/1: Emancipating Abe

hmmmm to post 57 .......

Guess you have no sense of humor.

Al has entertained us for years with these April Fools jokes.

It's just a once a year thing.

Lighten up.

April Fools day indeed!

(p.s. I don't care if Al's article is suppose to be just a joke that is light hearted and fun.)
Whinning? What does this word mean? Is it a contraction form of "when winning"? If so, the phrase "plain out when winning" wouldn't make sense.

@Tomorrowland_1967

No!, Correction, Al has entertained you. I find his April Fools Posts although well put together, rather unsavory and mean spirited. What's more I personally believe news outlets whether online or printed or other media need to maintain their credibility and not stoop to April Fools fake news stories. But then again this is my Opinion and I am entitled to it just as you are about Al's April Fools post that ... Entertain you, they just don't entertain us all so don't lump us all in.

Re: 4/1: Emancipating Abe

I feel sad for the ahumorous among us. Can someone get a GAC for that disability? Would a VIP rep walk with them to explain the various gags found in the park? Would there be a special Jungle Cruise voyage with a special straight-line script? Would Splash Mountain take a detour around the Laughing Place?
Surely there is a fund to which I can donate to fight this dreaded genetic defect that, currently, has no cure.

Whoa!

Just as I thought.

No sense of humor.

Good bye.

In this uptight world of undue pressures and stress, the healthy benefits of laughter and fun-spirited comradery cannot be stressed enough.

There's no such thing as the "laughter police" ..and if there were, they would be no match for Al's annual April Fool's joke, or his contagious wit that he bestows upon us in everything he does.

It's worse than that. Not expecting his Abe piece to be a gag, I laughed so hard when I realized it was a joke that an entire mouthful of coffee-bagel-sour cream-and-Wheaties spewed across my monitor and keyboard.

Do you have any idea what it's like trying to get through a business day digging Breakfast of Champion bits out of your Alt key with a toothpick?

Cruel, Lutz.

Just cruel.

I'd love a roller coaster based on The Black Hole. I don't care how much anyone thinks the movie sucks, a high tech thrill ride through those swirling vortexes of colour and deep blues of space would be stunning. You could even have a version of the shooting gallery in the queue to keep you occupied while you wait (and annoy S.T.A.R.).

But I recently spoke to Marty on this new attraction:

Marty: Well robots have always been a part of the integral Disneyland experi-

Me: *slaps Marty* NO!

As far as im concerned Abe should say: "Al can take his articles and shove it!"

I think you're the only one.

I was fooled on the "Confidential and proprietary information
Not for duplication or distribution
Please do not leave this material unattended
Disney © 2009".

I thought, how funny for Disney to write this and Al gets a secret (even though I thought what simple language for something so confidential).
By the Johnny Depp part I was not so sure if it was real, but once I saw all the characters, I knew something was up. I did look at the article date just to make sure though. I was kinda expecting a "Happy April Fools" somewhere else on the webiste (not so much in the "article")

ok... good joke. you actually got me. I haven't been on here in a while and didn't realize that that post was from april fools...
Thank GOODNESS that was a joke... I was about to cry.

As to the Obama thing, isn't that a legit leak? I recall hearing something about that earlier, but i'm not sure if it was part of a joke or not.

edit: oh! nevermind. I'm reading that blurb on an older article right now. man, i'm behind!!
