Re: 11/3: Main Street Christmas Loop

It's interesting to note that fan CD (castle at night one) mentions "glorious monophonic sound." (The tracks are out of order too. But it's a nice-looking cover.) Just so everybody knows, every track can be gotten as a stereo recording. Most if not all have beautiful stereo imagery. (Many LPs back then has both monaural and stereophonic versions. So if it's important, look for the stereo version.)

Sosai X: nice cover. Both of them; that vintage-LP-cover-art style works perfect and was the obvious choice.

Anyways, after learning that Paul Mauriat was the right one (whoever I learned it from deserves the credit; I forget who/where but I think it was here on this forum), getting that album, and making my CD with that song, I took it to DL and carefully verified that it was the right song by listening simultaneously to the CD and loop while out in the hub.

I doubt it, because it was just a compilation of ordinary off-the-shelf songs. It'd be nice of course, if for no other reason the sentimental value it's gotten with many people, but I'd rather see good CD releases of the original albums. Several already do of course but all deserve it. For example the Ed Sullivan album is quite unique and nice.

As for the DCA loop, the Sunshine Plaza loops (Christmas and everyday) are just ordinary songs too. Or do you mean the "carousel-ized" tracks within the Paradise Pier loop?

Oh I was referring to the Main Street loop the other 10 months of the year when it's not christmas music.

WOW!! Thanks for posting that. I've been carrying around a generic CD with the Christmas loop on it for years. It will be nice to store it in a fancy jewel case. Great job!

I'm glad that you will enjoy it. I designed it as sort of a match for and tribute to this classic Disneyland record, Walt Disney Takes You to Disneyland

So perhaps if you have the CD of Walt Disney Takes You to Disneyland, both will look nice on your shelf.

(I found a nifty free program for printing out CD covers a while ago called CoverXP, it formats everything to the right size and is easy as pie to use, you can get it here http://www.coverxp.com/main.asp .)

Well thanks again. You really captured the essence of the time period in the art and fonts.
