Re: 12/13: The Main Street Christmas Music Loop

I absolutely love the version of Silver Bells by Raymond Lefevre. I heard it several times when I was at Disneyland this past week. Now as I listen to it again (I also have all 30 tracks on my mp3 player) all the memories come rushing back. Well done, as always!

Congrats on being able to 'finish' the loop. Great job and what a nice thing to share with everyone.

I like his version of Santa even better. She can sit on my lap anytime she pleases.

I remember speaking with Al with his Ipod on a few weeks back. He was almost done at that point.

Al, you worked really hard to get this information out to us, and we do really do appreciate it.

Wow Al!

Amazing job FINDING all of those songs! I am, truly, blown away by your efforts! I've always wanted to know what songs they played, thanks!

I hope this doesn't replace the typical Disneyland Update =/

Re: 12/13: The Main Street Christmas Music Loop

wow, reading this article about old, hard-to-find vinyl reminds me of how much I'd love to find a copy of the album we used to play every Christmas while I was growing up. Trouble is, I'm not even sure where we have the album buried anymore and don't remember exactly what is what called. It was probably one of those RCA "Living Stereo" albums. I really associate that LP with Christmas - it would be great to find a new copy somehow!

Thanks, Al!

So... am I the only one who, when this article first ran, spent months tracking down old vinyl on eBay and online, digitized every track and cleaned up the pops and hisses, compiled a playlist, designed retro-rific cover art and sent both her Disneyland-loving friends copies of "The Fabulous Sounds of... Christmas at Disneyland!" as holiday presents...?

Wow you all amaze me!
Al, what a tremendous amount of time and effort that must have taken, even with the other persons terrific website available! Again, it is always amazing to me.
Thank you.

Wow! Nice job! I too have all of the tracks but I would still totally buy that were it available in stores.

Well, when this article ran last year, I too started tracking down the albums. I bought the CDs that were available and tracked down three of the records...

...but then I found (on eBay of course) a CD with the entire loop on it. Not sure of the CDs origin, though it's pretty good quality.

Since most of these tracks are out of print, I wonder if someone will someday go through the trouble of licensing all of them and putting out a CD. Disney? Anyone?

Re: 12/13: The Main Street Christmas Music Loop

I love the Main Street Christmas Music Loop, but it does have music by Lawrence Welk, Rita Ford, David Rose, Tom Gregory and many others in the mix. I do have some LP's in my collection such as "A Music Box Christmas" by Rita Ford, "Silent Night" by Lawrence Welk, but I have just the record, but I don't have a cover for it and the LP that I don't have in my collection is "The Little Drummer Boy" by David Rose which was download off of Ernest Hayes Ernie (Not Bert) blog which is at:

http://ernienotbert.blogspot.com/200...-part-two.html

And of course the LP from the Ernie (Not Bert) blog is the LP "Merry Christmas" by Raymond Lefevre which was on that blog at:

http://ernienotbert.blogspot.com/200...tch-fevre.html

Does anybody remember the blog called "Ernie (Not Bert)"? Is a blog featuring all of your favorite Christmas LP's that are now out of print, many of them are on CD. If you haven't seen it yet, check out this link:
