hi micechat. :D how have you all been? since i've gotten to school, i've been busy but now that finals are this week, things have finally slowed down so i'm getting a chance to post! how i've missed everyone.

in other news, i am 19 today. hooray. :)

Hola MiceChat. I've been kinda MIA these past few days because I've been getting moved into my dorm. My family left today so I'm officially ya know, in college! Haha. Oooh man.

cheyenne county fair!

It's the week of the fair, yee-haw! I'm talking funnel cakes, 4-H, derbies, ferris wheels and a parade. Such a typical small town thing. :) Anywho, just got back from the parade and now I'm getting ready for an afternoon of mud volleyball! Here's to hoping our team takes the championship title! :yea:

So I was watching the opening ceremony yesterday for the Olympics. Let me just say, my jaw was dropped the whole time. What they did (the drums, the human artists drawing on the LCD screen, etc), was amazing. I couldn't help but say a couple of OMGOODNESS's out loud. Insane stuff, people! It gave me goosebumps a couple times. I have all the games taping on my DVR so that will give me something to watch all week. Hehe.

And then on Thursday it's off to the land of Jayhawks! (Why, college of course ;))

So, this past weekend I was in Kansas City. Goodness, I love the city, I really do. I am such a city girl! The big buildings, all the lights. Definitely a favorite. Sooo, it kind of really sucks to be back home in a small town. However, I'm glad I can see the stars again! How I missed the stars.

But...the wait for city life isn't much longer. I'll be heading to college in Lawrence in two weeks! Scared? Yes. But more so excited? Exactly. Lawrence itself isn't huge (it's definitely a step up from here!) but it's only about 20 miles from Kansas City. Ah, life will be good. :)

And for fall break in October, I am definitely flying west! My cousin lives in Arizona and she proposed that my sister and I fly out and see her. So I'm going there or possibly California to see Nico (Kritter) but I'm not sure yet. Hopefully airfare doesn't go up before I make a decision!

All right, well I better get caught up on some posts since I've been gone. It's good to be back. :)

So, good news! It's raining here in my little town in Kansas. I love rain. So I'm in my room with the window open, taking in the sounds and smells.

It's times like this when I remember: yes, it's good to be alive.

In other news, KU has their fall break October 16-19. If airline ticket prices are reasonable, a friend & I might visit California for a few days! Disneyland here we come.

Yes my title is totally a Dane Cook reference. Sup holla!

Sooo, I bought a Gold Membership and figured I should make use of this blogging business. I haven't blogged since...forever. I have a livejournal and used to update it religiously, but I've just gradually stopped...so now I'll give this place a run!

So...if you're just stopping by, let me say HOLA. I'm Sara, 18, and currently ~~trapped~~ living in Kansas. We (the family) go to Disneyland once a year, in May/June. Definitely not enough to feed my yearning addiction, but I gotta make do with what I have!

I'm heading to the University of Kansas here in less than a month (omg scary!) and so I think during some of my breaks I might fly out to California, or brave the 18 hour drive...ANYWAY. So if any of you brave souls ever wanna lend me a room for a night or two... ;) just kidding! (only...not?)

okay so...rambling has ensued by this point and uh, I'll post a blog whenever I have something blog-worthy.
