I had my first MRI done last night and it was a scary experience. It was loud and there was no room at all in there. They gave me earplugs but it was still really loud. I am hoping I don't ever have to have one again, or at least with more warning. I had 3 hours to prepare myself for it and I was pretty freaked out.

Anyway, that step is done and I meet with the surgeon on Tuesday.

Today is a very bittersweet day. It is my dads birthday and the first day of school. My emotions are so up and down.

I miss him terribly and know he is always with me. He has missed so much with the kids lives and with our family, it makes me so sad.

We will celebrate tonight. I am going to make a mexican feast and have margaritas in honor of him.

I am so tired of my back hurting. I am sick of taking pain pills that knock me out but not knock out the pain.

I got the dreaded phone call that my brother was found dead in his front yard. I miss him terribly and think of him often. He was the only one of my siblings that was at my wedding and he adored the kids so much.

No matter where he was or what kind of shape he was in, he always called my dad on Sunday to say hi.

I know he is with me still and always will be. He was a good brother, uncle and friend and we will always remember him with love and smiles.
