Astro Orbitor continues to emerge, DCA Little Mermaid Construction, Up Merchandise, +MORE
Welcome to the June 1st Dateline Disneyland. I am your substitute columnist, Fishbulb. Our Beloved Andy Castro is out enjoying some much deserved time off in WDW.
This week we feature more progress in Tomorrowland with the Astro Orbitor receiving more pieces and the fountain in the Tomorrowland 'quad' area seeing verticle progress. We then move over to Disneyland Lite, or DCA to view the progress in Paradise Pier's lagoon for the World of Color show and a peek at Little Mermaid construction.
And don't forget to read through to the very end to see shots of the winners from this past weekend's amazing Gumball Rally!
Ready? Let's begin.

Up Merchandise has emerged in the Crystal Arcade on Main Street...

Peter Pan continues it's refurb as the planting area just inside the Castle courtyard gets some TLC as well...

CALIFORNIA CONSTRUCTION
We now move over to DCA to check up on the progress over there. The old Golden Dreams theater and the adjoined restrooms have all gone behind brightly colored, Little Mermaid themed walls. This has turned the stretch of walkway from the Trattoria to Golden Zephyr into an endless blue corridor.
Construction behind the theater has already begun in order to make room for the large show building being planned.
The Fountain in the former Christmas Tree pointe planter is seeing progress. The left side of the area has now emerged from behind the construction walls and construction will now start on the opposite side for the matching planters.

Paradise Lagoon continues to progress nicely. The viewing area for World of Color is beginning to smooth out...

The structures in the lagoon have been painted black.

Here's a few shots from around the resort from this week...

I would like to thank all of the teams for playing in this years rally. Sure, there were "winners" but if your team had fun that was the grand prize. We'd also like to give a shout out to Howard Johnson Anaheim for providing such an awesome place to have the after party!!!

Thanks for the update. The new Astro Orbiter paint job looks a little like GlaDOS from Portal.
