WELCOME TO DISNEYLAND!
This week is likely one of the last chances to see the Year of a Million Dreams decorations before they leave to make way for seasonal decorations for Disney's HalloweenTime and the winter holidays.

Giant Jack-O-Lanterns of the Fab 5 will replace the Dream Clouds atop the main gate turnstiles.

Walls should be surrounding the Floral Mickey soon as the DreamFloral gets swapped out with HalloweenTime's masked Mickey made up of mini pumpkins.

Bye bye Tink!

HalloweenTime lamppost decorations will replace the DreamClouds.

Soda cups are sporting a generic Coca Cola design. A seasonal HalloweenTime cup is likely to appear soon.

Even on the weekends, the wait times tell you it's the off-season.

WALLED IN 2
New Orleans Square's refurbishment efforts are extensive. For guests planning on visiting, be sure that you're prepared for traffic redirection and blocked off paths throughout New Orleans Square.

The French Market signage is getting some TLC and losing the Stouffer's logos.

A look at the repaving work underway around the Haunted Mansion.

The Sailing Ship Columbia is under refurbishment in the Fowler's Harbor dry dock.

The Harbour Galley, post-McDonald's.

A LAST LOOK AT GOLDEN DREAMS
Sunday, September 7 was the final day for the Golden Dreams film attraction at Disney's California Adventure. The show, which has seen small crowds since the park opened in 2001, will now only be open to school groups as part of the Disney Youth Education Series program.

The attraction will be used through Spring 2009 for the Y.E.S. program, and then will close altogether to make way for the Voyage of the Little Mermaid attraction which will open in 2011.

BUILDING A BAKERY
A look at the beginnings of the new Resort bakery being built behind the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure.

The old "it's a small world" boats are still hiding out in the back of the lot.

THIS AND THAT
Back in DCA, the Hyperion Theatre in the Hollywood Pictures Backlot is closed for refurbishment.

The clever Muppet parody movie posters from the Award Wieners overflow seating area (which was previously Muppet*Vision 3D queue ) have been replaced by current Disney movie posters.

Back at Disneyland, the "it's a small world" sign has been re-painted in a color scheme more suitable to the attraction's facade.

And some more Halloween merchandise is now available.
Candy Corn Halloween Ear Hat - $12.95

Halloween Bat Ear Hat - $14.95

Glow-in-the-Dark Child's Halloween Tee - $17.95

Pumpkin Mickey light - $13.92

Pumpkin Mickey Lighted Lawn Stakes (Set of 4) - $45.95

300 BOWLING
The fancy, hip, new 300 bowling center at the Anaheim Gaden Walk is now open.

300 includes billiards, private lanes, lounge area, and a full bar.

AROUND THE PARK

Alright, that should wrap it up for this week's Dateline Disneyland. Thanks, as always, for reading. Be sure to discuss and share your comments below.

Thank you so much for the detailed look at Golden Dreams - this update's a keeper! Of course there have been mixed reviews (mostly negative) about this attraction, but I always enjoyed it at least once a trip.

And I also really enjoyed the off-axis shots of the fireworks over the train station. Always nice to look at things from a new perspective!

    Thanks for another great update.

Can't say that I'll miss the million dreams sales pitch since I was never really sure what the whole thing meant.

I will miss the Golden Dream film. It was very well done. As DCA slowly moves away from the whole California theme I have to wonder if there will be a new overall theme? If so any ideas on what it may be?

I wouldn't mind seeing something along the lines of Pixar Planet. It seems to me that the Pixar company tends to follow the old school ideas of Mr. Walt. Be creative, spend the money where the costumer will see it and always do things with quality in mind. They have enough wonderful films and some fantastic ideas that I think it could support more than just one land (Cars Land). What'cha think mice chatters?

Glad to see Golden Dreams go. I never got over that poor japanese gal getting pelted. Very insensitive portion of the film.

As for the photos... wonderful shots. It's sad how the Million DReams signage at DL was much more classy than WDW's. You guys in CA are always so lucky to have a management that appears to have a sense of good taste as opposed to us in FL.
I love* love that new bowling alley at the Anaheim Walk. Must check it out next time I come to DLR.

It's from the window display at the Gibson Girl Ice Cream Parlor. It certainly looks delicious, but it's fake, fake, fake.
