MiceChatters waited with anticipation throughout the week for the first signs of water in Paradise Bay after months of construction on the new World of Color show. After numerous delay rumors and filming of a promotional spot, water finally started refilling the Paradise Pier lagoon Thursday afternoon. The first week of George Kalogridis' new job as Disneyland Resort President is over and so far early reports from Cast Members and park fans seem promising. Twitter user @DanielleErnest reported late on Monday: "I met [George Kalogridis] tonight. He's very personable" and late Tuesday morning @ohwhereismylion Tweeted: "Just met George Kalogridis. It was announced after we went to press last Monday that Disneyland Resort President Ed Grier announced his retirement in an e-mail sent out to Anaheim Cast Members. The sudden announcement followed the recent trend of a three-year term for Disneyland Resort Presidents, but unlike previous President Matt Ouimet, nobody seemed to really care about Ed leaving. Mr. Grier's last day in Team Disney Anaheim was on Friday.

What a week! Last Monday Disney announced its new "Give a Day, Get a Disney Day" theme park marketing campaign for 2010. The new campaign is led by the Muppets and will give free tickets to Disney theme parks for 1 million guests in exchange for a day of community service. Halloween Time is here! Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy and the new Halloween Screams fireworks show is bringing new thrills this year while old favorites like Haunted Mansion Holiday, Candy Corn Acres, and the Main Street Pumpkin Festival are back. While Halloween Time scares up fun in both parks the new Edelweiss Snacks turkey leg stand in Fantasyland has opened, and construction continues in Disney's California Adventure.
