Such a long time gone.

Life certainly has a way of taking waaay off course than planned. Well... I'm working to get everything back on track and so far all is well. Just need to either: a) get a job in the industry I want or b) go back to school for my bachelors. I'm really leaning toward the latter and I might have a great scholarship in the wings... just have to make up a plan and pick the school... it will have to be transfer credits from a local JC but at least I will have started!
Just got back from an awesome birthday trip to Disneyland. My friends are so awesome... I really am appreciative of them all! Busted up my knee and spent one day in a wheelchair. Never thought that I would be the person being pushed around the park, but I am so glad that I listened to my bff, otherwise I wouldn't have been walking yesterday or today. I now know that wearing a knee brace is needed when my knee starts to hurt... wonder if they make any in pink...
It's really weird being unemployed. I've been working for so long and focusing on work that I forgot about the other side of life. Being laid off was a real punch in the gut and certainly made for some down in the dumps depression, but now that I know what my options are I am feeing better about everything. Unemployment insurance to help with the bills and whatnot will certainly take off some stress. I am using this month to focus on resume refinement and cover letter creation. I'm also using this month to really finish my sewing projects.
I've sewn 3 dresses and can't wait to do more. might start making things to sell but I have to make sure I can do everything properly first. :)
I think I'm going to go look at some TR's as I'm already experiencing Disneyland withdrawls. I guess I could get all my pics together as well... ;)

I'm definitely in support of going back to school, though.
