Normally I put it up by at least Dec. 1. Not this year. Nope, I'm waiting for Brians friend to install our new t.v. onto the wall. And because of that, I can't put the tree up because there just wouldn't be enough room for him to work :mad:

I said "I'm NOT waiting until Dec. 24 to put the tree up". Knowing his friend it'll be January 17th before he gets to it.

Just another wrench thrown into this years Christmas.

...for Christmastime. I was sad that fall/autumn is over (at least decoration-wise). But, now that it's all packed away for another year, I'm ready to haul out the holly. Put up the tree before my spirit falls again. :lol:

Unfortunately with Brian and I headed to Florida to surprise his folks this weekend for a few days, I won't really be able to do much until after we get back. Oh well, something to look forward to I guess.

Last night my pal Lisa and I had one of our patented Shabby Date Nights. I :love: them.

Here's what we do:

We meet up at a restaurant at a mall (last night it was CPK)

We share dinner, usually appetizers. Last night it was spinach artichoke dip, a garlic chicken pizza and chocolate souffle.

A bottle of wine is ordered. I brought one last night from home because CPK only has a $5 corkage fee. FIVE DOLLARS!!

Lots of talking...

This was basically Brian and my first weekend together since he moved in, where neither of us had plans, other than to hang out at home and be domestic together.

New door painted. Some yard stuff done. Did some house cleaning. Did a buttload of Christmas cards. Got new glasses. Bought a couple of replacement watches from the robbery (and I must say it is OH SO FUN to just walk into a store and pick out watches willy nilly like that :D ).

Plus with it being cool and...

Went to Delaware to visit my friend that lives there. Had a decent time seeing some historical places in Maryland and Delaware.

Now I'm just exhausted. My flight this morning left at 7am, that's 4am PST. So in order to get to the airport at that time, I had to wake up at 4:30am, that's 1:30am PST!

I did manage to nap 2 hours this afternoon, so add that to 1:30am and it's like I got up at 3:30am.
