We see what happened during her murder, what happened to her killer, and witness her family and friends dealing with the loss.

I have been reluctant to pick this one up and I just got up the nerve on Monday. Let me tell you, I couldn't put it down. When I finished it Tuesday night, I completely broke down. It really brought on a flood of emotions that I probably needed to get out anyway.

I read that it's being made into a movie now. I'm interested to see how they'll make it work. I don't think I would have gone to see it if I had read the book first.

There wasn't one thing I really liked about this book. I think it boils down to it being a story about a woman that was written by a man. I think a female author could have given Elphaba's story some real feeling and emotion.
