This book is about a girl who has been murdered and lets the reader see through her eyes after she has gone to her heaven. We see what happened during her murder, what happened to her killer, and witness her family and friends dealing with the loss.

I have been reluctant to pick this one up and I just got up the nerve on Monday. Let me tell you, I couldn't put it down. When I finished it Tuesday night, I completely broke down. It really brought on a flood of emotions that I probably needed to get out anyway.

I read that it's being made into a movie now. I'm interested to see how they'll make it work. Ryan Gosling is set to play the girl's father.

My step-mom gave me this book and I knew it was going to be emotionally difficult for me to get through. I was right. Chapter after chapter. Tears and more tears. I was completely drained by the end.

I am so glad I saw the musical before I read this book. I don't think I would have gone to see it if I had read the book first.

There wasn't one thing I really liked about this book. I think it boils down to it being a story about a woman that was written by a man. I think a female author could have given Elphaba's story some real feeling and emotion.

I know a lot of people loved this book, but it was a chore to finish. :thumbdown
