Welcome to the Weekend Update for December 6, 2008!

Disney, Disney and more Disney. You asked for it and you got it! (This week anyway.) How about some holiday pictures from Tokyo Disneyland, Walt Disney World and the Disneyland Resort. View this week's Update to very end and I promise you that you'll be smelling peppermint and singing Jingle Bells!
I also want to extend a warm welcome to our two newest Weekend Update staff members. BigPigletFan is going to augment our Florida coverage and Abominable Snowman will be adding photos from the Southern California area. This is a labor of love for our entire staff and I can't thank them enough for their hours of hard work that make the Weekend Update possible each week.
First up we have photos from Tokyo Disneyland Resort. Special thanks to TDLFAN who powered through some technical difficulties to get these photos to us. Next week we should have photos from Tokyo DisneySea and Hong Kong Disneyland if the computer gremlins allow.

I'm pleased to announce that MiceChat crew member and occasional Weekend Update contributor BigPigletFan has accepted my invitation to share her photos of Walt Disney World with us on a regular basis. This week we have photos of the Osborne Family Spectacle of Dancing Lights.

Quote:
Presented by SYLVANIA, stroll down New York Street at Disney's Hollywood Studios™ as the streetlights fade and snowflakes begin to fall. Suddenly you're dazzled by millions of lights, dancing in synchronized splendor to a symphony for the senses with twirling carousels, heavenly angels — even Santa and his reindeer — amidst electrifying holiday music! This enchanting spectacle is a Walt Disney World® tradition that makes holiday dreams come true!

We have another MiceChat crew member who has agreed to help the Weekend Update with photos from the west coast on a regular basis. Here are some photos from Abominable Snowman taken on a beautiful California day at Disney's California Adventure. Welcome to the Weekend Update, AS!

I had the privilege to meet MiceChatter Marc ralfrick Ricketts at a MiceChat Hub Meet recently and he generously agreed to share some of his Disneyland photos with our Weekend Update readers. We don't see photos of the live entertainers at Disneyland very often. I happen to think that this live entertainment is one of the treasures of Disneyland. Marc has done a great job of capturing the energy and excitement of these unsung heroes.

We'll have some more of these great photos from Marc next week.

Finally, we have some breathtaking Disneyland photography from PhotoMatt. One look at this collection of images and I don't think anyone could question our fanatical devotion to this special place!

And that brings us to the end of another week. Our photographers have just enough time to reload their cameras before we see you all again next weekend. Thank you to all of our wonderful readers, and as always, a huge thank you to our amazing team of global photographers, spies, and gossips:

Well done everyone. PhotoMatt all I have to say is: Wow!
My son asked me how they added the gingerbread smell in IASW and HMH and I told him it was Glade Pugins ;-)Posted 12-06-2008 at 10:25 AM by toemblem

I admit it; I looked in to see what of mine was used. But I really like a lot of the others especially TDL, which we don't see much of. I kept hoping that HMH would stop in the ballroom so I could get a good pic of the gingerbread skeleton. Reminds me of a similar looking float of "SkElvis" during a Grateful Dead Mardi Gras parade.Posted 12-06-2008 at 01:45 PM by ralfrick
