I think Dan Brown also wrote 2 other books that did not feature Robert Langdon. This may be the third to feature the character, but he also wrote Deception Point and Digital Fortress (which were pretty good!). I'm looking forward to reading it!

^ Beat me to it, and yes, both Deception Point and Digital Fortress were good, although I preferred Digital Fortress over Deception point.

That said, I will be getting this book as soon as it comes out. I LOVE the Langdon character. I do hope however that he didn't try to write Langdon to "fit" Tom Hanks even though I liked Hanks in The DaVinci Code. He just didn't fit the book version as much as I would have liked.

Awesome news!!!

Nice new title. It was previously called "The Solomon Key"

I preferred Digital Fortress over Deception Point as well.

Methinks the book's release is tied in with the DVD release of Angels and Demons. Movies that come out in May usually hit the home video market in September, so...

I hope they release an illustrated edition like they did with the first two Robert Langdon books. It's funny, when people hear that it is an illustrated version, they think there are drawn pictures in there like a kid's book. I had to explain to a couple of people that it's actually photos of the actual sites where the stories take place.

These 12 hours: do they occur before A&D, after TDVC, or in between the two books?

Re: Dan Brown's new Book, 'The Lost Symbol'

There was only a year between A&D and TDVC so it could happen in between. But my guess would be after both. Of course, I have no sound reasoning for thinking that.

12 hours though, that's certainly shorter than the timelines in A&D and TDVC which were both pretty short.
