    Question

    What is the difference between a ADO and a RDO?

    No one seems to know the answer, at least the people I've asked so far.

    Another Day Off - Usually given to you by management

    Requested Day Off - You request a day off

    And this is coming from me, a person who has never been a Disneyland CM
    (although I could be wrong)

    It's Authorized Day Off and Requested Day Off....but what's the difference between the two, they sound the same to me.

    I've used both with the same results, just curious.

    RDO is a day that you request but not for sure getting the day off. ADO is a green light to having said day off.

    So when putting in for a day off through the hub I should always put in ADO?

    RDO (Regular Day Off) is for the set days you have scheduled off.

    ADO (Additional Day Off Without pay) is a day you request off in addition to your already scheduled days off.

    Yep, you can put in for up to two RDOs per week. Anything on top of that is an ADO.

    ADOs are also given when you show up for your shift and are then sent home because there's either no work or you request to just cancel your shift, or if you ask Management to give you a day off once the schedule's been published.

    Ya say you work 5 days a week and your days off are normally Monday and Tuesday, and you want to take Sunday off one week but are willing to still do the shift another day of the week. An RDO is basically saying you want Sunday to be your Regular Day Off still leaving it open that you could end up working Monday or Tuesday essentially having the same work week. An ADO would be asking for Sunday off on top of your usual days off of Monday and Tuesday.

    Or due to the location being over budget, you don't have to come to work resulting giving you an extra day off. I think.

    RDO - A request for one or two of their days off on a specific date or days of the week.

    ADO - A request for an unpaid day off in addition to Cast Member's days off.

    I have 4 RDOs per week since I only work Fri, Sat and Sun. But I believe I understand how this works now....thanks everyone!
