![]() | Leaving Disney/record time? Just a question... I'm thinking of leaving the hourly theme-park work for a better paying job...however, over the last two months, I've been submitting on the JOBS board for professional positions at Disney, that I still want and haven't heard back from yet. If I leave DLR and go get a temp job somewhere, am I still able to be considered for the prof jobs I applied for? Is there some sort of "restricted" status that will go on my record for a certain amount of time before I can get rehired? If so, for how long? And say I leave the company for quite a while...how long is my record (attendance points, writtens, etc.) still in the system? Would a prof job recruiter look at my record a year from now, see that I had a written warning in the past, and disregard my resume? I'd really appreciate any insight anyone may have on this...it might help me make some decisions for the future. Thanks! |

![]() | Re: Leaving Disney/record time? Good evening dramagrl, From my understanding if you leave the company you need to wait six months before you're able to be rehired. I would ask HR about the Jobs question, and your Manager about the points questions. Though it would seem that if you rehired, you're points would start of new (though your attendance write ups records would stay for sometime I would assume). Sorry I couldn't be more help. |

![]() | Re: Leaving Disney/record time? I believe if you put in your 2 weeks notice and work your two weeks you can be rehired at anytime, 6 months is just if you are fired or quit without notice from my understanding but someone that has gone through this before probably would know better than me. |

![]() | Re: Leaving Disney/record time? Ive asked a manager about this question and he did say you have to wait 6 months no matter how you quit. But, rehire is based on resort needs so if you have a good attendance and record, they can hire you back anytime just as long as Disney needs the people to work shifts. but ive been hearing a lot of different stories on it. |

![]() | Re: Leaving Disney/record time? Points and disciplines remain on your record for a year regardless of if you quit and rehire. So if you rehire a year later, you will be fine.
