    No rehire status - HELP!!

    Hey guys.

Good point. I removed my story.

Those that could potentially assist me, I have e-mailed privately.

To those that are seeing this for the first time, it was a story about how to get rehire status back at the Disneyland Resort.

Thank you all for your participation.

I always thought when a person was termed "no-rehire" for any reason, that was the final word. Good luck to you, but don't be too disappointed if you don't get back in.

No. That isn't true. There is an appeal process.

You have to go into casting, in person, to fill out a no rehire petition, submit it and wait for casting to get back to you. This could take a duration of time, depending on the severity of the termination.

Not having worked at Disney I can't say for sure, but I have dealt with people on academic probation before and I can say that honesty without sucking up is the best course. You need to prove that you have learned and moved on from that mistake and grown without coming across like you are sucking up to them. So it has to be sincere, concise and honest.

Like any other application, it has to be, primarily, about why they need to hire you. What you bring to the table and why hiring you is in their best interest. Why you are better than anyone else for the job.

Our revels now are ended. These our actors, As I foretold you, were all spirits and Are melted into air, into thin air: And, like the baseless fabric of this vision, The cloud-capp'd towers, the gorgeous palaces, The solemn temples, the great globe itself, Yea, all which it inherit, shall dissolve And, like this insubstantial pageant faded, Leave not a rack behind. We are such stuff As dreams are made on, and our little life Is rounded with a sleep. mycroft16 on Twitter

I'd start by removing your real name from your first post...but that's just me.

Curious...what "name" did you "drop" and what benefit did it extend to you?

Not true. I was listed as no-rehire for quitting without notice back in 1985. It took me a couple of times of filling out Rehire Status Change forms to finally get me no-rehire status changed and get back in the company.

I think what you expressed towards the end of your post summarizes perfectly what you want to convey. Be yourself.

Something tells me this isn't the best place to post such a detailed account of your situation; especially if you're seeking re-hire status.

Something also tells me a man who is reportedly of your age wouldn't be so naive as to post something like this on an open forum. No disrespect, but this doesn't sound like it came from a 31 year-old.

I was thinking the same thing...

I was also considering calling TDA to find out what my "record" says. I know it's sizeable but I think I still have re-hire status ("how ?" is a question I ponder on a daily basis). In any event best of luck. I tossed a lot to WDI, and it was only after I left that they called. I would actually recommend using your newfound contacts and approaching WDI instead of TDA... because the hiring process there is a great deal different.
