    Here's something kinda cool!

I'm gonna be included in a scrapbook that's being put together for the 5 year anniversary luncheon. It's for the remaining 65 people who hired on 5 years ago and opened DCA! Can you believe it? Only 65 left!

lots of CM's were given the option of transferring over to DCA from Disneyland when it opened and lots transferred back. I think quite a few of the people who opened DCA had come over from Disneyland, so maybe that's why the number is so low? A lot of the people I worked with had gone over to open it up and transferred back because they didn't like working there.

Same here, a lot of people went over from the PLaza Inn and then either came back or quit. I almost went over myself, but thought better of doing it. Thanks god I stayed at the time.

And they still outnumber the daily guests.

    Sorry, I just couldn't resist.

Sorry, I don't mean to highjack this thread. I worked at DL long ago, before DCA's days. I just have to ask...

Why is working at DCA so much worst then working DL? Is it just that DL is better then DCA, so working at DL is better?

    Congrats to the OP

Lots of DL CM didn't like it because it was kind of a boring atmosphere. The walkways are really big and the park tends to feel empty, especially in those first 6 months.

At DL, things can be crazy, but there is magic all around you, so that can make up for the crap you have to put up with sometimes. How can you be disgruntled when you can watch fireworks everynight?

DCA lacks some of the magic, so the jobs can feel much harder.

To the OP, will you scan your pages so we can see them?

I'll post whatever we get, probably the following week. Thanks for the congrats. By the way, I really enjoy working at DCA, my problem is with the scheudling issues, not the park.

Seenoevil, sounds like you're going for your 5-year after all... good for you. And congrats on the scrap book; hope I get to see it.

BTW, I stop by your store when I'm in the park, but haven't seen you yet...

Sorry I've missed you! They move me around all the time. I guess you could ask anyone in any of the Golden State stores if they know where I am. If the scrapbook isn't very scannable, maybe I can bring it to a Sunday meet.
