Re: are thir any cast members

I am a cast member, but I cannot directly help you.

Here, I did the hard work of googling it, all you need to do is fill in the information and wait for a response. It would be wise in the future to not use your "disorder" as a crutch or excuse for inaction. (I supposedly have ADHD too)

Disneyland Job Opportunities | Disneyland Resort| Disney Careers | Disney.com

The above is for Disneyland Careers ^ They are hiring right now for the seasonal positions.

Disney Theme Parks and Resorts College Program: Disneyland Resort, Anaheim, California

^ And here is the page to apply for the college program. You will be scheduled a date to watch a presentation. Also, if you already graduated you will not be accepted into the college program, it is for current students only.

The rest is up to you.

^^ Yep those are what you're looking for. There's not too much writing on the application as I recall and of course the interviews are all done in person, so I dont think your dyslexia will be too much of a problem. As for the ADHD, I guess that's up to the interviewer, but they're very friendly and they'll do their best to give you a position if it seems like a good fit.

    Good luck!!

The college program is short term, only about 2-3 months I think, then they give you the boot! so you are better off getting a real job at Disneyland unless you only want to be there for a short experience.

I'm a former CM at Walt Disney World. The College Program may be a good start. Usually getting into this program (and surviving it) will look very good to Disney. I know many people who went into the program with me and ended up with a regular job at Disney afterwards.

    Determination will get you there.

    Best of Luck!

The Disneyland College Program runs either Jan-Aug or May-early Jan. It is a requirement for many of the Professional Internships and has great networking opportunities within the Disney company as well as the opportunity to learn how to better market yourself for the professional world.

The DisneyWORLD College Program has varying durations.

I've only been a CM for less than a year, but I can tell you that having ADHD shouldn't be too much of a hinderance. I know 3 other CM's who have ADD and ADHD, who perform their roles without fail. Also, I can speak from personal experience here. My nephew has ADHD and did the WDW college program. It led to a CR position at WDWR. He recently left to enlist in the military. His condition did not affect his performance as a CM in the slightest.

try night custodian (dca or disneyland) you'll get more hours (at least 32 hours/week, nothing below this) and it's steady employment.

Use that also to jump into other trades, ie oiler, mechanic, stuff like that. You will need a education for that though, oiler, along with ride laborer are tough ones to get into (and laborer is a disposable division, so having more training past a glorified custodian (which is what a ride laborer is) is important)

When you work days, so does everyone else. You'll get more on hours/benefits on nights, but you sacrifice days, so if you are a party animal, stick to days.

the "stereotype" for add/adhd/autistic/aspergers people is to work jobs like custodial, but if you have anxiety disorders/etc, it's much easier on nights.

Would you rather have about 230 people in your department and then fall across random people at night (Foods, horticulture, mechanics, etc) or deal with 25,000+ people a day (guests) and then the support staff for them? (about 3k+ people are in the parks at night versus the day shift)

All depends on how you are, and what your dream is that you are chasing

I don't want to nitpick, but some of your stuff is hard to read. Try to be articulate if possible, especially if any of your interviews require computer skills. Hopefully you are articulate in real life, it will carry alot of weight with a interviewer.

Remember that disney is like any other company, you've got others behind you wanting the job. so proper articulation can possibly make or break you getting the job.

    Good luck!

just to let you know to, is that they will take into consideration your command of the English language, which includes spelling and grammar. I do not know if you are purposely spelling words incorrectly or not, but you have to watch that or they will probably throw your application away. Sorry, but these are the hard facts of life.

The Walt Disney Company is an Equal Opportunity Employer - Disney doesn't provide transportation, however, the public transportation is quite good around the Resort. There is a way to take transit to the Resort:

Transit directions to Anaheim, from Ontario
