Oldest CM in the Disneyland Park??

Are you or do you know who is the oldest Cast Member still working the park? Leave it open to anyone working full/part-time?

Are we talking about physical age, or years of seniority?

If seniority, it breaks this was for departments:
49 years- Oscar, Foods- lead at Carnation Cafe
~46 years- Rich/Rick, Attractions- Fantasyland attractions
38 years- Pam, Stores Operations- Mainstreet stores.

I'm sure there are more in the 40s range that I don't know about. (only know the stores op list for sure) but Oscar and Rich are the top 2 frontline Cms in the resort.

Wow, great! I worked in ODV so there wasn't too many old timers, but it would have been nice to work with them and hear some classic stories.

I love this topic; it reminds me of the many comments I've made that people shouldn't think of CM positions as "just for college kids"; sure, college (age) people are most of the ones who take the jobs, but if that's your calling then more power to you. If you can spend your life making people happy, I say go for it. The benefit of older CMs to the younger ones, to the guests, and to the park itself cannot be overlooked. (But come on, TDA, help us out here...)

"~46 years- Rich/Rick, Attractions- Fantasyland attractions"

You are talking about Rick Johnson I presume. If I recall correctly, he has worked almost every attraction at one time or another. Great CM!

    Speederscout:

You are making the same commute I used to make. Redlands to DL is, indeed, torture to the soul. I used to trade up and grab as many late shifts as I could so I wouldn't have to endure so much traffic. Good Luck!

One I was in DL in October, the oldest CM we noticed was a nice young lady at TOT in DCA. She had been working there since the 1970s. She was a kick to talk about with all the changes.

I know, for myself and my partner, we plan on working for Disney post retirement.
