Teen wanting to work for disney

Hey guys,

My reason for posting this thread is because i want the 411 on how i can become a Cast member at disneyland. Mainly anything on main street.

I currently work at The Disney Store (Not owned by disney anymore, but its still disney) So i have retail experience, so i'm looking towards the emporium. But anything is fine with me. I just want to work there.

Also i'm a bit interested in being a purcussionist in The Trash Can Trio or Disneyland Band. I have purcussion experience of 7 years and counting (2 more years of High school)

Is it better to go to a job fair or just go to TDA and ask for an application.

If they hire you, do they put you any where or can you request a spot?

Also, add any links or extra info for more help.

I'm planning on moving from the disney store, to the theme parks, then to the Disney company itself with Webdesign.

As far as I know you need to check the careers openings on the disney website, you can choose which location (disneyland in your case!), but it seems they are always short-staffed but the only openings they have are for mind-numbing jobs, such as sweeping!

There are almost never WDI openings, I suppose you have to start at the bottom rung.

Yup, and can i apply for a job in the park online?

I don't care where i get hired at the resort. I want to work there.

Mainly Disneyland. Mainly i want to work on main street with the disneyland band, emporium or trash can trio.

I would just head on over to the Casting Center and talk to them there.

The Casting Center is in TDA. Just go to Cast Place from Ball Road, and turn left on the first road. You park in this area, and then the Casting Center is right around the corner. You'll see the security guy standing near a gate, and from there, you turn left and the Casting Center is right in front of you!

Barfownz, to be honest I've been looking into the same things as you have been. Disney doesn't post much about auditions for Disneyland as they do for WDW as evidenced by their auditions site here.

Ever think of doing the All American College Band after your Freshman year of college? They have opening for hotshot percussions like you...not so much classically trained symphonic clarinetists like me...and it might be a good first step for the career path you're looking into.

But working ANYTHING at disneyland and/or being in the trash can trio/disneyland band is what i want to do before i ant to do webdesign with disney itself after college.

OFF TOPIC...Interesting that "4-1-1" is slang for "information"....since the actual telephone service switched from "information" to "directory assistance" many years ago...

Now back to "directory assistance" for getting hired at Disneyland...

I know. I have contacted them and they told me what it takes to get in for the minimum, but i'm up for the maximum.
