Disneyland & DCA Cast Members hitting low???

Has anyone else noticed Cast Members at either park has deteriorated? There are the exceptions to the wonderful CM's, but in general it seems like a lot of CM's not following Disney's strict guidelines. Maybe Disney has loosened up on CM's on stage, but it seems strange. Maybe being a former CM I notice these things more often than a normal guest.

*Anyone else notice this happening?

I sort of see what you mean. I think it's a little more lenient now, and CMs are even allowed to drink from water fountains onstage.

Re: Disneyland & DCA Cast Members hitting low???

I noticed they seemt o be sharp with the guests, less smiles, and some sarcasm.....of course I enjoy the sarcasm most of the time....., but the plain rudemess and snapping at people is happening more and more....for the most part I don't care...I only see that CM for about 10 seconds if it's on a ride, but we have all noticed....we sometimes joke about it...like when the monorial CM's were snapping' get against the fence and get your bags open!"...the reminded me of how prison guards would act...LOL....and it's not just the heat...they are liek this even in nice weather....

this is not all of them, it;s not even most of them...it's the few that stand out and leave the lastign impression.

I agree that the quality of CMs has really dropped. Even the new ones that hire in that seen like they're going to be great, within a few weeks I realize why they maybe weren't the best candidate for the job.

Yes, I also have notice the snapping from the CM's. I was snapped at by a CM on POTC the last time I went.

Something tells me they weren't supposed to do that... There are water coolers available in many backstage locations...

Water coolers that run out way too quickly and aren't refilled fast enough. Drinking from onstage fountains is permitted when it reaches a certain temperature, though it's supposed to be done discreetly.

Re: Disneyland & DCA Cast Members hitting low???

Just the other day we were in line for a churro and we noticed the CM's had their funds/cash drawer in the open with $20's, $10's splilling out. Good grief, I remember once working the Churro cart in front of the castle a manager got on our case for not removing some bills in the drawer to our funds bag! As you know that cart is one of the busiest along side the Haunted house. (11)

Re: Disneyland & DCA Cast Members hitting low???

What happened to:

No leaning while on stage.
Always give two part greeting.
Suggestive sales. " Would you like something with that"
Pointing with two fingers, not one.
Eating on stage.
Shirts not tucked in on stage.
(Once was asked to tuck in my shirt while walking back to my car
in level 2 of the Mickey/friends lot-Ouch)

I stand corrected. I just read that in Resort Today, although it doesn't say anything about waiting for it to hit a certain temperature.

Re: Disneyland & DCA Cast Members hitting low???

Code 90, Code 95, Code 100 (though I think perhaps the top two are character dept exclusive... has to do with time onstage)

Re: Disneyland & DCA Cast Members hitting low???

Actually, those terms are no longer used. Now it's Heat Index I, Heat Index II and Heat Index III. From what I've heard, the temperature thresholds have been lowered a bit too. Also, wouldn't Code 100 conflict with Delayed Opening?
