Yes, you do so if like you want a hat you swipe your card then get a discount.
I'm not a cast member, but I have two cousins who are - is there any way they can get me a discount at the Grand Californian? Just wondering.
At Stores locations (and Foods locations using the MATRA POS system, like the Adventureland Fruit Stand), they can swipe your ID, scan the barcode (on certain IDs), or manually enter your Personnel ID or Social Security number, and the appropriate discount will be applied. Foods locations that don't use MATRA look at the card to see what discount you're eligible for, and enter that into the POS system manually.
I'm pretty sure they have to book for you. What I'm not sure about is if the room has to be in their name.
I just realized that I forgot to mention that Taste Pilot's Grill also requires a swipe of the ID card if you enter your order yourself. :p
yep they swipe your id
Isn't the food discount 20% for everyone?
Last I checked, yes, unless your ID happens to say "No Discount" on it. :)
As far as the hotel goes there are certain times, usually off-season, when Cast Members can get a "Friends and Family" discount on rooms. I'm not sure exactly how it is done. I think I remember something about the Cast Member getting a code which they then give to the person actually booking the room and they use the code. Your cousins can get the details at the Team Center.
They don't swipe my ID Card because it's not from the US .
IDs from most locations works like Disney Store , Walt Disney World .
IDs from Europe do not work in your mersh sytem .
Yeah, but you are like the only Disneyland Paris CM who ever comes to Anaheim man. What needs to be worked out is how the system can't handle Tokyo Disney Resort CMs at all. Considering the number of them that come, the system should be made to accomodate them more easily.
