Yes. Sometimes they'll refer you to Human Resources or, if your managers are still with the Company, then they'll refer you to talk to them.

I think, if they fire you (for whatever reason) you get a no re-hire.

Also if you quit without giving two weeks, also no re-hire.

If you have a no re-hire, if you hold a different job with a different company for 6 months (I believe) they will usually hire you back. Unless you were fired for stealing or major safety type stuff.

    Re: Termination Question

I know that if you have a no rehire, you have to go into casting and fill out a petition just to get that no rehire lifted and that does not guarantee being hired back with the company either.

I gave one week (pretty much unavoidable) and got a restricted rehire.

    Re: Termination Question

If you give less then two weeks notice, then you don't techincally get a "no-rehire" but a "rescreen for commitment".

I heard you wait a year or two and then you can petition have your "no - rehire" status lifted.

I left in 1997 and have no idea of my rehire status but I think it might be no rehire. How would I find out if I'm 1,200 miles away?

Let's say that you once worked at Disneyland for a few summers during college and in your last year somehow racked up a no-rehire status on your record. A few years later, you finish your degree and attempt to get a job at maybe Burbank, TDA in Anaheim or somewhere in Florida. I would imagine that HR wouldn't waste their time looking at your record from years ago to determine whether or not you had a re-hire as a front level CM, even if you put it on your application. I think they have more important issues to research, such as your more recent positions and education/training.

I don't agree with that assumption.

Particularly if you reveal that you were an employee previously which I think is on applications. You would need to answer that truthfully.

Whether that would affect a professional position hiring probably would depend upon what the reason for the no-rehire was. Criminal behavior or other dishonesty would probably be a killer. Medical issues, work conflicts might not esp[ecially with an explanation (if indeed such things got a no-rehire). The amount of time passed and intervening experience would also probably affect it as suggested.

They still do. Might not play a huge part... but they will still check. No-rehire covers all aspects of the Resort. Scary.

I was referring to all aspects of the entire company.

Oops, did I say Resort? Oh yah, I did.

I actually meant the entire Company. No-rehires do affect any sort of job offer for the entire Company. Might be more significant with some positions then others, but a no-rehire status even at the DL/WDW Resort-level doesn't look good AT ALL. I've actually spoken to those with really great job qualifications that were applying for non-DL/WDW Resort jobs who then told me that their no-rehire status at the DL or WDW Resort bit them in the proverbial butt.
