Ok so I'm seriously considering becoming a Cast Member and I will have an open schedule for July and most of August but my nephew will start school again Aug 24 and I take him/pick him up so I won't be able to work weekdays...I wanted to know if that would be a problem if I was trying to get a job at the parks.
as a CR (causual regular) you are required to be available fri after 6 and fully available sat and sun. During the summer and holiday seasons you are expected to be fully available as well. If you think you can do that then youll be fine
I am in the same situation, since I work for a school part time starting again in September. The hours that were mentioned above are exactly what they told me when they hired me....no problem at all, I can do both! Do keep in mind that openings are very limited right now, so don't want you to get your hopes up too high.

They do have a Friday Sat Sun CR position and a Sat Sun CR position at the resort

Alternate CR positions are what they are statused year around. That means if you are CR-SS, then you will only be scheduled Sunday/Saturday year around, unless you request otherwise. Hell, even if you do request it otherwise, they probably still won't give you extra hours (like what happened with me).Don't you still have to be fully available for summer and holidays?

Nope, not when you are an Alternate Availability CR. I am CR-S2 (Sat+2 other days, I prefer Wed. & Thurs.) Even now as summer is ramping up, I only work my 3 days! It's great for people with 2nd jobs, Mom's who need that extra money, without the stress of juggling (like me), and students (well, students that live at home, since there's a slim chance you could make rent & bills)Don't you still have to be fully available for summer and holidays?
