Our favorite joke about "Where is the nearest bathroom?" in Show Support is our answer. Pretend you're standing around the New Orleans Train Station. A guest comes up and asks where the nearest bathroom is. Answer: Hop on the Disneyland Railroad right here at the train station, get off on the 4th stop and take a right, and it's right there. (Of course I'd never do this in real life, but it's pretty comical to say the least.)

hahahaha, I friend of mine who used to work for the Disney still gets asked where things are (maybe because he's 6'5", who knows...), he tells them to go down main street, exit the gate, walk into DCA, down the right side, past the big wheel, and there'll be one next to a rollercoaster...
And I hope they answer you with a good response. Though those of us who've read this now just know you're just being rude (unless of course you do it jestingly; which is what I do =D)...
I would also like to point out, that Space Mountain can be tricky to find for first time visitors.
I think most CMs (surely, at least, MiceChatter CMs) feel this way. We would never be rude to a guest and would never consider giving a sarcastic answer. But it sure is nice to be able to vent to those who know what it's like to get the same questions over and over. In every workplace I've ever been in, I've heard jokes and stories that define "us" and "them". It's not meant to be mean or to foment discontent or hatred. It lets "us" blow off steam. It's harmless.
My favorite question from a guest? "Is there a parade here?" which was asked as the first float of the 6:30 parade rounded the corner at Town Square.
My question to a CM? I've only been with DLR for 2-1/2 months and I love my job. But when can I start thinking about transferring, specifically to the sexy Show Support department? How much technical knowledge would I need for such a transfer?

I completely agree, though there are those who don't know how to control themselves, and would say that right to a guest. This of course is completely unacceptable. Cast Members should also be careful about what they say over the internet, because those things can get back to managers.
You can inner department transfer after 4 months I believe. If you're transferring from another department, you need to wait 6 I believe.
When I used to work for the parks, I always have a little fun with the guests with silly answers and they laugh.
Guest: Excuse me, do you know where the bathrooms are?
Me: Yes.
Long Pause.
Guest: Can you tell me where they are?
Me: Yup, sure can.
Guest: Where?
Me: They are everywhere!!
Then, I point in various directions ala Cheshire Cat.
Why do Cast Members always wear heavy jackets even when it's 105 degrees outside?
'cause the thermostat is always set to something obscenely cold like 65 degrees inside!! and sometimes we go in and out. additionally, maybe we started at 7 am when it's still cold, or are starting at 4 pm, knowing it will cool down after the sun goes down. many cms don't have personal lockers in their areas, and it's typically frowned upon to store cold weather items (or any personal items for that matter) anywhere in/at the actual location. it's pretty easy to cool down a lot when you're often standing stationery in one place instead of walking around like guests do. oh yeah, and some CMs may be covering up any visible tattoos they may have.

I like when guests go in the fast pass line sans a fast pass. It makes it awkward for both of us... and then they get angry at me! The sun makes people cranky.

(perhaps this is a question that I should ask a hotel cast member, but..........) do the hotels accept walk ins, or reservations necessary?
question #2: if a guest does not have(or prefers not to use) credit cards, can that guest still stay at one of the hotels?
Please don't knowingly come into the park and ask a stupid question just to see the response. We have enough of those types of questions that are actual questions, without having to worry about people just doing it to get a laugh.
