Cancer in one form or another has touched each of us one way or another.
Whether we ourselves were diagnosed with Cancer or a loved one has been diagnosed.
I have known many people over the years who have battled Cancer.
Some fought and won their battle with Cancer, the others were not able to beat their Cancer.
I keep thinking there must be a way that we can fight this together. That we can band together to find a cure for Cancer. too improve treatments, too improve facilities and make advances in education, early detection, and improved success rates.
Last year I found a way to help.
I gave a weekend to Crew the Avon Walk for Breast Cancer In San Francisco.
I can't even begin to express what a life changing weekend that was for me. I met so many people there, each with a different story and reason for being there. I met couples walking together because one or both of them had been Diagnosed with Breast cancer (Yes, men can get it too) I met a husband and his young boys cheering on their mommy who had just been diagnosed with Breast Cancer. I met Mothers and Daughters, sisters and brothers, Husbands and Fathers all walking and sopporting one another.
It was a very emotional thought provoking weekend. I watched a large group of Breast Cancer survivors Walk into closing ceromonies together, arms linked. I watched very young children run up to their mommies, who were wearing survivor hats.
I went into this last year wanting to help, This year I am determined to make a difference.
Though the members of Crew are not required to fundraise I would like to, and I am hoping you will help. I am setting my personal goal at $500 to start. anything you can contribute as a tax deductable donation would be greatly apreciated. Every little bit helps.
Together We Can Find A Cure!
