As some of you may or may not know, I was privileged enough to be invited to both the daytime and nighttime VIP events held on May 4th, 2005 for Disneyland’s 50th Anniversary. What is of little knowledge is that they gave out not one, but TWO gift bags to us VIPs. The big gift was given at the end of the nighttime party upon exit. It’s a EQUISITE wood and glass photo album lined with red velvet. It has a letter of thanks from Disneyland president Matt Ouimet, and in the left panel has an ACTUAL print of the famous “walt walking through the castle photo’. The album folds out to reveal four sections to store your own photos, and closes up with a fancy metal clasp. It has a gold leaf 50th logo etched to the front. This alone is truly priceless, and I’m even including the actual bag (and packaging) that came with the gift. The second gift bag includes an exclusive “Remember….Dreams Come True” BACKPACK with an embroidered logo. Inside the backpack was a commemorative bottle of Coca Cola (unopened) with a message from Coca Cola tied to it in gold string. Also a never-released 50th Anniversary Medley promotional CD, a copy of Disney magazine, and a weird Kodak EasyShare software CD. But much cooler, is the night-only EVENT PIN, which is the famous 50th castle pin but with a BLUE banner, made of MUCH HIGHER quality. To my knowledge this pin was only given out to the VIPs. As a bonus extra, I’m including my nighttime party VIP guest pass. This is truly a once-in a lifetime opportunity, and I’m insane to sell it, but have overwhelming medical bills to pay…so think of it as charity. I hope whoever gets it will love it as much as I have.
