Thu, 7-17-08 at Disneyland: Noon Hub meet - 4pm Train Station Meet (Merged Threads)

Yes, in honor of the Famous International Press Preview and the live ABC broadcast, which at the time, was one of the biggest live TV remotes ever, there will be a Noon Meet at the Central Plaza (aka Hub).

The plan is to meet in the regular location. The meet should last about 30 minutes...

Alas, due to other commitments, Lisa and I will have to leave by 12:30 PM, but maybe someone else would like to take the rest of the Group to King Arthur Carrousel (a classic First Day attraction) and then the Plaza Inn for Lunch.

Two other meets are planned, but will be on seperate threads, a 4 PM meet on Thursday for the Flag Retreat and the "official" Disneyland Dedication ceremony at 4:45 PM.

Then Friday at Noon at the Hub, for the celebration of the 53rd Anniversary of Disneyland's opening day.

The official Disneyland Park Celebration will be at 4:45 PM on Thursday the 17th, right after the Flag Retreat in front of the Main Street, U.S.A. Train Station. Basically a small ceremony that features the replaying of the Dedication Speech Walt Disney spoke on July 17th and July 18th, 1955.

We will meet up between the flag pole and the Train Station stairs around 4 PM, so we can watch the Flag Retreat, and then the Dedication ceremony.

I am going to have lunch with a CM friend of mine whom I haven't seen in a while - got to catch up on those baby pictures, ya know.
