Pacific Northwest MouseMeet, August 14th, Lynnwood, WA
Hey folks,
I just wanted to remind everyone that the Pacific Northwest Mouse Meet is approaching. It is still 4 months off, but tickets are going on sale soon. The general public will be able to buy tickets Monday 4/19. However, if you were there last year, you can buy your tickets Saturday, April 17th at 9am. Newsletter members can buy their tickets on the 18th. Just like last year there will be a pin trading area and pin vendors from all over. But what is really great are the guests. Margaret Kerry, the live action reference model for TinkerBell, will be back this year. New to the show will be Imagineer and Disney Legend, Bob Gurr. Bob Gurr designed many classic Disney attractions such as Autopia and the Monorail.
The website for the meet is right here...
PNWMouseMeet.com
Hope to see you there.

I saw the announcement about Bob Gurr on Facebook and got really excited. Up until that announcement, I wasn't certain I was going this year. Cait will love hanging out with Ms Kerry again too, I'm sure!

We are planning a Seattle visit this August, but we're not sure exactly when we would be there. Hope you all have a great time with your meet!

MLB network carried the local Mariners telecast of their game last night. Safeco looks like such a fun place to watch a game!

OFF TOPIC - In my best scenario, I'm there Aug. 29 when the Angels visit.
Do the ever open the roof entirely when there's no threat of rain? Or just extend it like last night?

In August, you should find it fully open. Bring sunscreen!

Re: Pacific Northwest MouseMeet, August 14th, Lynnwood, WA
The roof is usually open, unless it is raining. When it started raining last night during the pre-game ceremonies they closed it for the night. It rained and sprinked most of the evening. It was open all day today. It is really something so see when they open or close it.

I'm in.
Now, I just need to figure out...do I drive down that morning, the border will be horrendous unless I leave super early, or look into a hotel...

Yeah, I saw that. Looks like a very nice hotel, but it's $120 a night, a little more than I want to spend right now to attend a one-day convention.
I'll probably try priceline or hotwire to find something cheaper. If I can do two nights closer to the $50 range, I get the $400 duty free limit on shopping, and it becomes worth it.

Great. I look forward to meeting you.
For everyone else who does not have a ticket, I have heard that tickets are going fast. They are over a 3rd gone. Dont miss out on the Pacific Northwest's best Disney event.
