Well, I am not sure if this is the right place to post this report, so Mods, feel free to move it to the correct location.
Yesterday, July 29th, was the NorCal Meet at the 50th exhibit at the Oakland Museum. 11am at the Museum Restaurant was the time and place.
Ooooh, look, it's a restaurant!
The first to arrive (aside from myself and my fiance) were Mickey'sGirl and dahlia.
Beautimus Disney Girls!
Next, we were graced with Trekkie Dad and Mom's presence.
Last to arrive was OogieBoogie. I somehow neglected to get a formal shot...so here is one he didn't know I was taking.
Do the Boogie dance!
dahlia, sadly, had to leave to teach a class before the exhibit so we took our group shot before she left. It was great meeting her and look forward to having an event in the future where she doesn't have to take off. We had a total of seven people there: five MiceChatters and two Significant Others.

As cameras were not allowed in the museum this is the only picture I got to prove we were at the exhibit.
Exhibition begins? Why does that sound dirty to me?
Proof of the no camera policy. Darn museum dictators!
The exhibit was beautiful and a lot of fun. As Oogie mentioned, our group ended up educating the other attendees of the museum. One rather hilarious example was Trekkie Dad explaining where the Mickey-Eared Skeleton was on IJA and a woman exclaiming, "You must be the only person who knows that!" and Trekkie Dad sheepishly replying, "Not really." She insisted, "You must have been on the ride A LOT to have found that." and at that point the rest of the group informed her that she was in rarified Disney Geek company. I personally got a lot of questions from the staff in the gift shop about my screen name on my name tag and about what MiceChat was.
After the exhibit OogieBoogie departed and the remainder of the group made our way to the front of the museum to get a picture with the banner.
That's my adorable fiance in the orange. I let him be in this pic!
Then our number dwindled by one more as Mickey'sGirl made her way back to San Jose. The final four explored the rest of the museum and talked of the NorCal Meets to come. We really would like to do it again and hopefully next time we will have an even larger turnout. Pollardville next time, before it closes for good?
